My passion : Guiding you towards your dreams
Before discovering the authentic jazz dances, I was a competitive gymnast for about 8 years and I studied physics engineering and got my bachelor's degree from l'École Polytechnique de Montréal in 2004. However, even with an insatiable curiosity for science, my vocation had to be of a more artistic nature so I gradually, and then fully jumped into the world of performing and teaching dance in 2007.
In the last 21 years, I discovered authentic Jazz dances, I co-founded Studio 88 Swing in Montréal and the Swinging Air Force dance troups, I won international competitions, I traveled in more than 15 countries to teach and share my passion for dancing, I was hired as a judge for the Canadian Swing Championships and the International Lindy Hop Championships, I choreographed for Cirque du Soleil and I performed for many TV shows.
Today, having become a mother along the way, my vocation aligned itself with my fondamental values. I feel the strong desire to coach in order to accompany dancers, couples, teams and other coaches in defining and attaining their wildest dancing goals. I want to be able to share my knowledge and unique experience with whoever seeking assistance in their authentic Jazz dancing journey, and I want to provide my teaching and guidance with a benevolent and nourishing touch. I wish also to practice gratitude towards the African-American roots of these beautiful dances and honour the culture behind the essence of Jazz, whilst continuing my quest to deepen my knowledge and understanding of its history so I can share more of it with my students.
